Prayer meeting is where all the work takes place. We gather together to worship God and to pray for individual needs as well as the direction of our church. Our specific burden is to pray for the spiritual appetite of all believers and seekers.

CENTRAL AREA FELLOWSHIP

The Central Area Fellowship is hosted by three families in the Sacramento metropolitan area. The meetings begin with a potluck dinner; the rest of the night is devoted to singing, sharing, and studying of the Scriptures. Currently, the theme of our fellowship is preaching the gospel.     For April and the months following, we have compiled a list of questions that non-believers or seekers most often raise. These questions will be the basis of our discussions, and we will take turns preparing and answering these questions. The main purpose of this group is to give seasoned believers the opportunity to reconsider what they believe and be able to explain their beliefs biblically, competently, clearly, and appropriately, to unbelievers. This task is mandated in 1 Peter 3.15: ¡§Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who ask you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect . . .¡¨ The secondary purpose is to meet new friends and seekers. Meetings are conducted in Mandarin.

EAST DISTRICT FELLOWSHIP

The East District Fellowship serves people who live on the east side of metropolitan Sacramento, such as Folsom, Gold River, and El Dorado Hills.      We currently have two types of monthly meetings. The large group meeting is intended to attract people, church members or otherwise, to come and join us in search of a meaningful Christian life. After meeting with us, we then encourage them to participate in small group bible studies so that God¡¦s word will become a part of their daily life. In our small group bible studies, we are currently reading the Epistle to the Romans. Our discussions are conducted in Mandarin.

ELK GROVE FELLOWSHIP

This fellowship is for brothers, sisters, and friends living in the vicinity of Elk Grove. The main purpose of our gathering is knowing, helping, and building each other up spiritually. Our goal for the year of 2007 is to be rooted and established in love. We usually devote about half of our time on bible study and the other half on fellowship and sharing. In the past six months we have been studying the Book of Ephesians. Even though our meetings are usually conducted in Mandarin, other languages, like Cantonese, can be used if there is a need.

SISTERS' FELLOWSHIP

The Sisters' Fellowship is made up of Mandarin-speaking sisters in our forties to fifties, but we welcome sisters of all ages. The purpose of our fellowship is to encourage one another in our Christian walk. During the meeting, we study the bible, share our personal spiritual experiences and pray for one another. We are now studying 1 Kings of the Old Testament. Sometimes we also share our culinary interests with one another and have mini cook-outs where we enjoy the fruits of our labor!

CANTONESE FELLOWSHIP

The Cantonese fellowship was established around November, 2006. Our goal is to share Christ¡¦s love and fellowship with Cantonese-speaking brothers and sisters. ENGLISH FELLOWSHIP

Our fellowship is a diverse mix of college students and working adults, couples and singles, Chinese and non-Chinese, believers and seekers. We gather together on Friday nights to sing, pray, and read the Scriptures together. In the past, we have done topical bible studies, focusing on topics such as relationships and biblical characters. We have also studied specific books of the Bible, such as Genesis, the Book of Acts, and 1 Corinthians. For the Spring of 2007, we plan to study Focus on the Family¡¦s 'The Truth Project."

YOUTH GROUP

The CIC Youth Group is also known as the TICs (Teens in Christ). We meet together each Saturday night for singing and fellowship. We are a group of primarily Junior High and High School students. We have many who slightly younger and some slightly older ones in our meeting. A few of the parents of these youths are leading this group of young people. We love to sing and study the bible. We generally follow the church bible reading schedule to pre-study the materials. Some of our activities include lock-ins, planned famine, night fishing, hiking, films, basketball, flag football, games, and trips. During school year, we welcome the youths to bring their homework to church every Saturday afternoon to study beginning at 1:30PM. At 4:00PM, youths are free to have activities on church ground. We will share a meal together before the youth meeting at night. In addition, we have community service opportunities for youths as well.

Child Care/Nursery

Childcare is provided for the little ones under age 4 whose parents are attending the Lord's Day service. Caring teachers take care of children from 10:00 am - 12:30pm. The room is set up with books, music, learning toys and certain baby care supplies.      Mothers with child under age 1 are welcome to stay in the nursery. If needed parents may also hear the sermons and participate in the Lord’s Day service in the fellowship hall through a wireless PA system while tending their child.

Children's Sunday School

Children's Sunday School is for children from first to sixth grade. This is a one room school where children learn and play together. Each week, children learn lessons from the Bible as well as how to apply what they have learned into their daily lives. Children are taught in a structured environment where they read and memorize scripture and pray for one another's needs. They are also encouraged to work and help each other as in a big family. Our curriculum has included Through the Bible (52 main lessons from the Old and the New Testament), Men and Women of the Bible, Biblical Virtues, and the Four Gospels. Upon the completion of the Four Gospels, we moved on to the books of Acts and Romans, and hopefully we can complete the entire New Testament. Kindergarten Sunday School

This class is designed for children 4 to 6 years-old, approximately preschool to 1st grade. Children learn Bible stories that are designed for comprehension at the early childhood education level, make simple craft, participate in group activities (indoor and outdoor), make simple crafts, sing and dance to praise songs. Snacks are also provided for physical nourishment.

Adult Sunday School

There are several Adult Sunday School classes that are studying different topics, all designed to encourage spiritual growth in Christian living. All who have accepted Christ as their personal Lord and Savior are welcomed to join these classes. Currently, we have Romans (English), Mark (Chinese), Cantonese and Song Appreciation classes. Topics change periodically.

It is taught in an informal atmosphere where questions are encouraged and answers are found in God's Word, the bible.
